Germans suspend their military actions, revolution breaks out

After a series of defeats of the German armies, navy sailors started a riot and took control of the naval base in Kiel. Revolutionary moods escalated in Bremen and Hamburg, as well as in the western and southern part of the Reich. Power was taken by Soldier and Worker Councils, forcing commanders to suspend military action.
