Rynarzewo taken by insurgents
The successful taking of Rynarzewo finally stabilised the insurgents’ situation on the Northern Front commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Kazimierz Grudzielski. A massive counterattack by the Germans failed, and on 18 February insurgents took over a German armoured train, which they later called “Danuta”.
