Signing of the Peace Treaty in Versailles

– On 28 June 1919, in the Mirror Hall of the Versailles palace, a peace treaty with the Germans was signed. Under its provisions, Poland obtained the territories of Pomerania Vistula, Upper Silesia and Greater Poland. Greater Poland without Babimost, Skwierzyna and Wschowa was to be annexed to the reborn Poland. Poland also obtained the areas that had not been occupied by insurgent armies, including the towns of Leszno, Rawicz and Zbąszyń.
