The Commissariat of the SPC sent a letter to the Supreme Command of the Polish Army, enclosed with a decree on the passing over of control of the armies of the former Prussian Partition. The decree referred to the declaration of 25 May, addressed to the Chief-of-State. In accordance with the Act of 1 August, military formations were in all respects passed “to the Supreme Command of the Polish Army or, alternatively, to the Ministry of Military Affairs.ˮ
