Decree issued by the Chief-of-State on subordinating the Greater Poland Army

Under the Act of 1 August 1919 on the temporary administrative organisation of the former Prussian Partition, Chief-of-State Józef Piłsudski issued a decree, according to which military forces in the former Prussian Partition would be subordinated to the Supreme Command or, alternatively, the Ministry of Military Affairs. Matters related to the organisation, training and use of the army would depend on the orders of the Ministry of Military Affairs, and General District Commands would be established in Poznań and Grudziądz.
