A daring raid by the scouts from Kościan

The Scouts’ Reserve Company from Kościan carried out a raid code-named “Liberty”, as a result of which weapons were stolen from the warehouses of the German 2nd Reserve Battalion, which included 6 medium machine guns, 12 light machine guns, approximately 800 rifles and 107 pistols. The weapons were used, among others, by insurgent units from Krzywiń and Wielichowo. Military and administrative power of the city was taken.
