– In his reply to the Supreme People's Guard telegram, Józef Piłsudski said that “In the process of building the state of Poland, the purpose must and will be to combine the individual territories of the Republic of Poland into one homogenous state organism. The ancient land, where the state was born, maintained by Poles with the struggles and efforts of generations, will for the Republic of Poland be a precious jewel and an instance of a number of civic virtues.”
