Occupying the airport in Ławica.

The 1st Battalion of the Guard and Security Service, a platoon of artillery, a mounted unit, an intelligence unit and a sanitary unit carried out a spectacular attack on a German airbase in Ławica near Poznań. 1 soldier was killed and 3 were wounded. 7 officers and approximately 200 German soldiers surrendered. A group commanded by Second Lieutenant Andrzej Kopa seized equipment (which included several dozen planes and several hundred engines) that was to be the basis for the establishment of a Polish military air force in the interwar period.
