 In 2008

52 – Zdzisław Grot – professor of humanities and Greater Poland insurgent - (posthumous award). For many years, he was also a researcher at the Adam Mickiewicz University, a precursor of scientific research on the history of the Greater Poland Uprising 1918/19. He was the author of many studies concerning the history of Greater Poland during the Prussian partition, the participation of the Poznań residents in uprisings, and the course and significance of the Greater Poland Uprising, including Polish and German historiography of the Uprising. He developed a far-reaching program of research work on the Uprising, inspiring a younger generation of historians to this activity.

53 – Zenon Brembor – Colonel in Reserve of the Polish Army, historian – regionalist, social activist from Sulechów and a well-known promoter of the Greater Poland Uprising in the Lubusz province. The author of studies regarding the course of the Greater Poland Uprising in the Lubusz area: Powstańcy na Ziemi KargowskiejWalka o utrzymanie polskościna Babimojszczyźnie and others. He publishes articles about the Greater Poland Uprising in the local press and the monthly magazine Polsce Wierni. Author of biographical notes of the participants of the Greater Poland Uprising and organiser of contests and cycles of school trips.

54 – Zygmunt Duda – a teacher, historian, regionalist, social activist from Opalenica, promoter of knowledge and traditions of the Greater Poland Uprising. A documentalist and author of many publications regarding the history of the Greater Poland Uprising in Opalenica, Buk and Nowy Tomyśl as well as biographical notes of insurgents who came from this region. Organiser and co-organiser of popular-science conferences and lecturer at many meetings with the school youth. Also the co-initiator of anniversary undertakings, including the founding of the monument and plaques commemorating the participation of Opalenica residents in the Greater Poland Uprising.

55 – Antoni Fornalski – a historian, regionalist, director of the School Complex – the Greater Poland Insurgents Lower Secondary School and Primary School in Przemęt. Promoter of the knowledge of the participation of the residents of Przemęt in the Greater Poland Uprising. The author of the monograph: Mieszkańcy Ziemi Przemęckiej w walce o polskość, and the film: Ziemia Przemęcka naszą małą Ojczyzną. Organiser of rallies along the trail of the Greater Poland Uprising in the Przemęt area and of many educational projects related to the Greater Poland Uprising for the school youth.

56 – Jarosław Łuczak, a historian and curator in the Greater Poland Military Museum - the branch of the National Museum in Poznań. Author of many publications about the Greater Poland Uprising. Co-organiser and participant of scientific conferences at which he presented such subjects as: The Standards of the volunteer formations of the Greater Poland Uprising, Symbolics of the Greater Poland Uprising, Insurgent uniforms and badges, and Signs of the Greater Poland Uprising 1918/19. Author of biographical notes of insurgents. He has significant achievements in the organisation of exhibitions devoted to the Greater Poland Uprising (over 70 exhibitions and museum displays).

57 – Lidia Nowak – a teacher and director of the Greater Poland Insurgents School Complex in Rynarzewo. Initiator and author of the programme of the interdisciplinary theme as part of civic education: Nasz wzorzec osobowy to powstańcy wielkopolscy [Greater Poland Insurgents are our role models]. Organiser of annual, communal poetry recitation contests entitled Tobie Polsko ta kropla krwi wrzącej [For you Poland, this drop of boiling blood]. Host of the 4th Provincial Congress of Schools and Clubs bearing the names of Greater Poland Insurgents. On her initiative, the book entitled Miasteczko nad frontem. Wspomnienia z roku 1919 was reprinted.

58 – prof. Zbigniew Pilarczyk– vice rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University, historian. Documentalist and author of numerous studies related to the participation of scouts in the Greater Poland Uprising. On his initiative, the banner patch of the Poznań scouts - participants of the Uprising was recreated. He is the author of publications related to the military aspects of World War I and the Greater Poland Uprising, as well as the organiser and co-organiser of scientific conferences, among others, the National Seminar for Historians of the Greater Poland Uprising.

59 – The Hipolit Cegielski Society in Poznań. - This is a well-known society which enjoys great popularity as the promoter of the idea of Hipolit Cegielski - organic work. In its activity, it refers to the values born during the Greater Poland Uprising 1918/19 as the final effect of organic work in the longest modern war of Europe. By promoting companies with the Hipolit Cegielski statuette and The Best in Poland certificate, the society popularises desirable social values.

 In 2009

60 – Andrzej Jeziorkowski – professor of fine arts, head of the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture of the Institute of Architecture and Spatial Planning of the Poznań Technical University. He is a well-known artist who documents the history of Poznań, including the history of the Greater Poznań Uprising, in various visual forms. He is the author of, among other things, the drawings in the publication of M. Rezler entitled O Powstaniu Wielkopolskim 1918/19 presenting, with great expertise: the uniforms, colours, badges and weapons of the Greater Poland insurgents and soldiers of the Greater Poland Army. His achievements include many postage stamps and postcards which depict the old Poznań, as well as display boards regarding the 750th anniversary of the location of the Poznań city.

61 – Jarosław Tomasz Łożyński – a regionalist and researcher of the history of the Greater Poland Uprising in the area of the Międzychód poviat. On his initiative, many studies, publications and other achievements popularising the struggles of the insurgents along the section of the 1st Western Battalion have appeared. He also drew up, among other things, a detailed calendar of events regarding the outbreak and course of the Greater Poland Uprising and a list of participants in the area of the Międzychód poviat. He is the author of Sierakowski Zeszyt Historyczny which is entirely devoted to the subject of the Greater Poland Uprising, as well as numerous publications in the local press. He gave a series of lectures about the Greater Poland Uprising for the inhabitants of the city and school pupils.

62 – Michał Pietrowski – doctor of humanities, historian and regionalist who documents the history of Koźmin Wlkp. and its vicinity. His achievements include many historical publications, including articles about the history of the Greater Poland Uprising. He is also the author of biographical notes of the Greater Poland insurgents from Koźmin. He initiates and organises popular science sessions as well as ceremonies devoted to the Greater Poland Uprising. He undertakes and implements many activities which are aimed at the commemoration of the events and sites related to the history of the fight for independence.

63 – Historical Reenactment Group Association “3 Grolman Bastion” - For several years, this group has organised historical re-enactments which present events from the Greater Poland Uprising. A great impression is made by these enactments, presented on the Wolności Square in Poznań during consecutive anniversaries of the Greater Poland Uprising, along with reconstructions of an insurgent camp complete with old armament and equipment (e.g. a field kitchen from the period of the Uprising). The members of the Association participate in school history lessons, talking about the Greater Poland Uprising and at the same time presenting uniforms, armament and insurgent badges.

64 – The Pomeranian Military Museum in Bydgoszcz. – This museum collects and shows preserved relics related to the military history of Pomerania and Kuyavia, starting from the Greater Poland Uprising. It treats the popularisation of the knowledge about the Greater Poland Uprising as one of its main tasks. There are about 1000 archival units in the museum, which are related to the Greater Poland Uprising and which were gathered as 50 legacies of Greater Poland insurgents. During temporary exhibitions and commemorative presentations, the feats of the insurgents, especially on the Northern Front are presented and popularised. As part of its scientific activity, the Museum has developed, among other things, a biographical dictionary of Bydgoszcz residents - Greater Poland insurgents.

 In 2010

65 – Marian Jakubowicz – a regionalist and activist of the Association of Veterans of the Republic of Poland and Former Political Prisoners, the main initiator of the establishment of the Society for the Memory of the Greater Poland Uprising, a co-organiser of the formation of the structures of the Society, documentalist and author of studies related to the anniversary celebrations of the Greater Poland Uprising and other undertakings related to the commemoration of the insurgent effort of the Greater Poland residents.

66 – Włodzimierz Kwaśniewicz – doctor of humanities, historian, director of the Military Museum in Drzonów near Zielona Góra and promoter of the history of the Greater Poland Uprising. He is the initiator and organiser of the permanent exhibition in the Museum, devoted to the Greater Poland Uprising and other commemorative exhibitions. He is also the author of many publications regarding the Greater Poland insurgents in the Lubusz area as well as articles related to the history and traditions of the Uprising, including a book entitled: ”Szable sławnych Polaków – o broni białej używanej w okresie Powstania Wielkopolskiego” [The sabres of famous Poles - of melee weapons used during the Greater Poland Uprising]. In this study, a lot of space is given to the sabres of General Józef Dowbor-Muśnicki. Furthermore, he is a well-known lecturer, participant and co-organiser of popular science sessions regarding the years of fighting for independence.

67 – Edmund Mikołajczak – a historian, regionalist and publicist and also a member of the editorial board of “Ziemia Kujawska”. He is the author and co-author of publications related to the history of the Inowrocław region, in which he gives readers more insight into the traditions of the Greater Poland Uprising. He is also the editor of „Inowrocławski Słownik Biograficzny” [Inowrocław Biographical Dictionary]. He was the initiator and organiser of many undertakings popularising the history and traditions of the Greater Poland Uprising: popular science sessions, rallies and contests for school youths. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Greater Poland Uprising, he prepared the script for a historical spectacle related to the liberation of Inowrocław by the insurgents. He was also the director and commentator of other historical events addressed to children and youths, as well as adults, e.g. Zaduszki Kujawskie [Kuyavian All Soul's Day].

68 – Bernard Piotrowski – professor, historian, head of the Department of Scandinavian History, Culture and Literature at the Adam Mickiewicz University. He is the author of numerous studies in which he popularises the knowledge of the Greater Poland Uprising and various aspects of its significance for Poland. Of particular value are his studies related to the state of German research. The studies touch upon the following issues: the progressive-revolutionary and national-liberation traditions of Greater Poland, Polish western thought in the ranks of the Greater Poland insurgents during the last years of the Second Republic of Poland, the sources of Polish western thought in historiography, and the stereotypes and legends of the Greater Poland Uprising in German historiography and journalism.
Professor Bernard Piotrowski is the student of Professor Zdzisław Grot – the precursor of research on the history of the Greater Poland Uprising, hence, it is possible to find recollections and reflections about Zdzisław Grot- his life and service to science and the nation in his publications.

69 – Polish Tourist-Country Lovers Society, the Cyryl Ratajski branch in Luboń. - In its tourist-sightseeing activities, it has popularised the knowledge and traditions related to the Greater Poland Uprising for many years. It organises rallies and other events related to sites and events from the Greater Poland Uprising.

In 2011

70 - Szymon Dąbrowski – a historian and promoter of knowledge and the memory of the Greater Poland Uprising 1918/1919, especially in school youth circles;

71 - prof. Marceli Kosman – a historian, politologist, pedagogue, writer and author of 1500 important publications, including 50 books, who devoted a lot of space to the history and significance of the Greater Poland Uprising in his scientific-research work;

72 - Eugeniusz Śliwiński – historian, senior curator of the District Museum and lecturer at the State Higher Vocational School in Leszno;
